About Us

We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management. Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources in the business community.

Our chapter, founded in 2001, has grown with the business community in the Cullman area.  As human resource professionals, we meet monthly to network, for training and development, to increase our knowledge in federal and state employment law and all areas of Human Resource management.  Our diverse membership represents private and public employers that employ as little as 50 to some which employ over 1000.  Industries include public sector employees, utilities, manufacturing, service and financial industries.  We maintain a strong professional network within the business community and seek ways to reach out and serve our community both socially and professionally.  We believe our responsibility extends beyond our worksite into the communities in which we work and serve.
