This month’s meeting will be held on January 13, 2016. It will be at the Cullman Chamber Of Commerce in the Wal-Mart DC Room.
Tae Phillips from Ogletree Deakins will be coming to speak to us about Transgender Employees in the Workplace.
Tae primarily focuses his practice on assisting and representing employers in the field of labor and employment law. Tae represents clients in adversarial matters and also advises clients on day-to-day employment and workplace-related matters.
With the increasing move towards more liberal policies and the ever-changing social issues in society, transgender employees is becoming an increasing reality for employers. Employers should be well-versed in how to deal with issues involving transgender employees, and specifically the potential issues arising under federal employment laws.
