Meeting

This month’s meeting will be held on January 13, 2016. It will be at the Cullman Chamber Of Commerce in the Wal-Mart DC Room.

Tae Phillips from Ogletree Deakins will be coming to speak to us about Transgender Employees in the Workplace.  

Tae primarily focuses his practice on assisting and representing employers in the field of labor and employment law.  Tae represents clients in adversarial matters and also advises clients on day-to-day employment and workplace-related matters.

We will be having a board meeting on January 6, 2016 at the Cullman Chamber of Commerce from 11am-12pm. It will be in one of the smaller rooms.

Anyone that is wanting to help this year please come join us. We are looking for great ideas and volunteers to help make those ideas happen.

We will be getting plans together for our next workshop in October, our next after hours mixer and other events we may want to do this year.

Our next meeting will be on July 8th at Terry Pines Country Club in the Green Room.  The meeting will begin at 12 and lunch will be self-serve from the buffet.  Please make plans to attend.  Invite someone who could be a potential member!!

Our speaker is Dawn Owens.  She is the Executive Director of The Link of Cullman County.  The Link is a faith-based non-profit that seeks to provide a community of support for low income individuals and families so that they are able to move from a place of dependency to self sufficiency.

Sammy Danford with the Cullman United Way will be speaking to our group.  She will be talking to us about the importance of the United Way and it's agencies.  She will also tell us how we can help not just as a chapter or a company but also as individuals.

Perry Shields the Director of Alabama Technology Network (ATN) will be speaking to our chapter.  Perry is committed to helping Alabama Manufacturers be the most profitable they can be by supplying them affordable, high quality Engineering Assistance, Training, & Technical Coaching.  There will be a brief tour of ATN's training facilities downstairs from our meeting room.
